ELI @ NYSAWA - our new professional development initiative

The New York State Association for Women in Administration (NYSAWA) is pleased to announce a new professional development initiative.  NYSAWA has partnered with the Educational Leadership Institute (ELI) to enhance and expand professional development opportunities in support of educational administrators and school district officials across New York State.

The Educational Leadership Institute (ELI) was established in 2008 for educational leaders to  enhance their knowledge through high quality programs, workshops, and conferences.  The plan is for ELI @ NYSAWA to embrace and expand these programs, workshops, and conferences over the next several years.  ELI @ NYSAWA will be a statewide provider of high quality professional development programs serving the PreK-12 academic community.   The efforts of ELI @ NYSAWA will focus on contemporary issues affecting the policies and practices of PreK-12 educational institutions, including their implications for strategic planning, organizational development, and leadership decision-making. Programs will be offered at statewide locations.

James (Jim) M. Merrins, Ed.D. will be the Executive Program Administrator of ELI @ NYSAWA during a growth and transition period.  We will be looking for NYSAWA member support and encouragement as we grow this effort.

Sally Feinberg, Ed.D., President
Mary Balme, Executive Director
Jim Merrins, Ed.D., Executive Program Administrator
