NYSAWA launches administrator scholarship program, now accepting applications

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the NYSAWA Administrator Scholarship Program, designed to support and empower current and aspiring administrators in achieving their professional goals. This program reflects our commitment of gender equity in educational administration and to fostering leadership, growth, and excellence within our educational communities.

Who Can Apply?

Administrative Track: School district faculty (teacher, instructional coach, counselor, etc.) pursuing an administrative degree/certification, or;

Current Administrator: Sitting administrator pursuing advanced degree or certification

Criteria

  • Candidates must be currently enrolled in a leadership program on a path to educational administration
  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Candidates must clearly articulate goals as a leader in education
  • Candidate’s goals must align with NYSAWA’s vision and mission
  • Candidates must clearly demonstrate leadership in their current role
  • Candidates must demonstrate promotion of equity and/or inclusivity as an educator

Scholarship Details

Award Amount: Two (2) $1,000 scholarships, plus a 1 year NYSAWA individual membership (for new-members, or single pay members)

Deadline to Apply: 5:00 p.m. on April 7, 2025
