Dear Esteemed Members of the NYSAWA Community,
It is with immense joy that I extend a heartfelt welcome to all our existing and new members. Our community is growing by leaps and bounds, with nearly 1,000 active members, thanks to the unwavering dedication and commitment of our affiliates. It is heartening to embrace each one of you as an integral part of our dynamic network, and we look forward to welcoming even more incredible women into our fold.
I am deeply honored to lead an organization composed entirely of female leaders, set within a state governed by a female leader. Additionally, witnessing a female candidate making a historic bid for the presidency further reinforces our shared mission of supporting and empowering women in leadership roles. The progress we are witnessing is truly inspiring, and it underscores the importance of ongoing support for women in all spheres of influence. Let us keep the momentum going. This is our time to break barriers and pave the way for future generations of women.
During our recent board meeting at the state conference, we discussed our collective focus on enhancing membership benefits and fostering growth within our organization. We are firm in our commitment to provide tangible and meaningful opportunities throughout the year for our members, such as exclusive access to resources, networking events, and professional development initiatives.
I want to extend a special thank you to our vice chair, Lauren Gemmill, for her dedicated efforts in planning another impactful state conference. Her outstanding teamwork with our treasurer, Aurelia Henriquez, in securing support from all four sponsors for the conference has been invaluable in ensuring the success of our events and the continued growth of NYSAWA.
I also greatly appreciate the insightful advice from our past chair, Kristine Orr, on the importance of communication within our organization. As we strive to enhance our communication strategies, we value the input of all our members in shaping a more connected and engaged NYSAWA community.
Looking ahead, we are truly excited about the vision and goals we have set for NYSAWA. Together, we aim to empower women leaders, provide valuable resources, and create a supportive network for professional growth and success.
I encourage each of you to actively participate in our upcoming events, share your ideas, and engage with fellow members to maximize the opportunities afforded by your NYSAWA membership. Your involvement is key to driving the ongoing success of our organization.
Thank you for being a part of NYSAWA, where we celebrate and support women in leadership across New York State. I look forward to embarking on a fruitful and rewarding journey together.
Warm regards,
Bryna Moritz
